Deoghar, Jharkhand – Independent Member of Parliament from Purnia, Bihar, Pappu Yadav, recently received a death threat from the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In a bold response, Yadav expressed that he is not intimidated by the threats, reaffirming his commitment to his work and his faith in God as his only protector.
I Am Not Afraid of Anyone
In a recent statement, Pappu Yadav shared his fearless outlook, stating, “I am not afraid of anyone. I focus on my duties and do not meddle in anyone’s personal affairs. My only fear is God, who is the true protector of the public.”
Despite the serious nature of the threat, Yadav has requested the government to remove his current 'Y' category security. Previously, he had asked for an upgrade to 'Z' category security following a series of threats. However, he now insists that his support comes from the public and has renounced additional security.
Immediate Action Taken as a Law-Abiding Citizen
After receiving a threat call reportedly from Malaysia, Yadav acted promptly, informing senior police officials including the DGP, IG, DIG, and the Superintendent of Police. "I did what was necessary under the law. If someone wants to kill me, they can try. But I am not scared,” he stated firmly.
Yadav also wrote to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, requesting enhanced security following the threat. The caller allegedly warned Yadav to avoid issues related to Bollywood actor Salman Khan or face dire consequences. This warning has raised public concerns, highlighting the extent of organized criminal operations.
Criticism of Lawrence Bishnoi and Support for Baba Siddique's Family
In the aftermath of Baba Siddique’s murder, Yadav traveled to Mumbai to meet Siddique’s son, Zeeshan, offering condolences and support. He also publicly criticized Lawrence Bishnoi, boldly asserting that he could confront the gangster alone if the law permitted. This public defiance has sparked widespread discussion on social media.
MP Misa Bharti Questions Gujarat Jail’s Security Measures
Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Misa Bharti also spoke out on the incident, criticizing the Gujarat government and its jail administration. She questioned how the Lawrence Bishnoi gang could continue to issue threats while Bishnoi remains in Gujarat custody, urging jail authorities to investigate and address these security breaches.
